Addicted to tortilla chips? Us too. Thankfully, making your own is as easy eating them all. The best part? This recipe can be adapted for any holiday and used across all of our tortillas. The possibilities are endless. And YES, you can use an air fryer, too!

Prep time: 10 min | Cook time: 12 min

Ingredients

  • At least one package of your favorite La Tortilla Factory tortillas
  • Oil, we recommend vegetable, EVOO, or coconut
  • Classic Seasoning: Sea salt + squeeze of lime
  • Savory Seasoning: Chili powder or Mexican seasoning (we like Tajin), sea salt, + a squeeze of lime
  • Churro Seasoning: Replace oil with a mix of melted butter and a few drops of vanilla extract, granulated sugar, + a pinch of cinnamon
  • Abuelita Special Seasoning: Equal parts cocoa powder, granulated sugar, + Chili powder

Directions

Pre-heat your oven to 350°. Place a tortilla of your choosing on a cutting board. Our top 3 favorites? Gluten-freeOrganic Yellow Corn, and Low Carb flour.

For a classic tortilla chip shape, cut each tortilla into 8 chip sized wedges. For a fun, festive approach, use a cookie cutter to stamp out the desired shape. Be sure to maximize your tortilla by placing the cookie-cutter as close to the edge as possible and repeating.

Arrange in a single layer on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.

Using either a mister or small bowl + silicone basting brush, lightly coat each tortilla with oil. Sprinkle with chili powder and sea salt. Finish with a squeeze of lime.

Bake for 10 – 12 minutes until the chips are crisp, but not too brown. We recommend rotating the pan at the 5-minute mark to ensure even baking.

Serve with your choice of salsa, guacamole, hummus, or dip.

Air Fryer Instructions: Cook time will depend on your make and model, please adjust accordingly! Set your air fryer to350°. Place cut tortillas into the air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with the seasonings of your choice. Cook them for 4 to 6 minutes. If not all the way crisp, continue to cook in 2-minute increments.
